Obituary of Mary Kay Harllee

Camden – Funeral service for Mary Kay Harllee, 57, will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church, Camden with burial to follow in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Church.

Mary Kay Harllee passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024. Born in Warrenton, VA, she spent her formative years in New Castle, IN, and Florence, SC. She was the daughter of Gary Donica and Marsha Taylor Donica. A follower of Jesus Christ, Mary Kay was deeply involved in her church community. Her academic journey led her to Bob Jones University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. She was a published author of educational curriculum and an avid reader. Additionally, she cherished her role as a homeschool mom.

Surviving in addition to her parents is her husband, Harry Harllee; children, Robert Harllee, Ethan Harllee (Cortney), and David Harllee; grandson, Isaac Harllee; sister, Julie Peake (Norman) and their children, Katie Peake, Taylor Peake, and Wesley Peake (Sarah) and their daughter, Ellie Peake; brother, Paul Donica and his children, Thomas Donica and Maggie Donica; sister, Sarah Mays (Greg) and their children, Emma Mays and Scott Mays; and sister, Rachel Poole (John) and their children, Samantha Poole and Luke Poole.
