Obituary of Dorothy Jean Jones

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Dorothy Jean Jones, 72, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Good Hope Wesley Chapel UMC Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Ms. Jones passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Edward Green and Willie Mae Jones. Ms. Jones was a member of Good Hope Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching TV and her favorite shows were her soap operas, Bonanza, and Walker Texas Ranger.

     Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kodie Jones of the home; siblings, Cynthia Jones (William) of Camden, Linda Robinson (John) of Camden, Deborah Jones of Camden, Randy Jones (Mary) of Bethune, Naomi Green of Camden, Ophelia Green-Middleton of Camden, Leslie McMickle of Columbia, Toyia Green of N.Y.; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Jones.
