Joey and I send our sincere love and condolences. Irene is loved by everyone who met her. She is not only family to me but has always been such a dear friend. She always treated Joey like one of her own and never missed an opportunity to tell him how much she loved him. As Joey's parents were starting their journey with dementia it was always so comforting to know Irene and Bill were across the street and were always reminding us they were there if we needed them. This is who she was -- ALWAYS thinkins of others and showing others how much she cared. She spent the entire day with us at Southwinds on one of Mrs. (Mildred) Hornsby's final days before passing. It meant so much to have her there with us and being there for Joey as he went through losing his mom. We will miss her and forever be grateful for her example of love and service. We love ya'll, Debbie, Susie, Greg, Larry, Dennis, and Austin. Love, Joey and Valencia Hornsby
