Obituary of Susie Mae Dubose

HARTSVILLE- A funeral service for Susie Mae Dubose, 63, will be held Monday, May 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at God’s Deliverance Center with burial to follow in Community Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor David Chavis will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at the church.

    Mrs. Dubose passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 in Florence, S.C. Born in Bishopville, she was a daughter of Dorothy Hickmon Jones and the late Elmer Jones. Mrs. Dubose was a member of God’s Deliverance Center. She was a true witness and disciple of Christ, always spreading the Gospel wherever she went. She was also a wonderful caretaker and would often open her home to family and friends.

    Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Edgar Dubose; children, Kim Gee of Florence, Karen Roary of Fayetteville, N.C., Christopher Roary (Yolanda) of Lugoff, Katina Roary of Florence; siblings, Elmer Jones (Betty), Dorothy Jones, Catherine Jones, Annie Jones, Jesse Jones; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
