Obituary of Thomas "Pete" Catoe

Thomas “Pete” Edward Catoe, 85, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 peacefully at home. Born in Kershaw County, SC, he was the son of the late Sidney and Rena Dillon Catoe. Mr. Catoe was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served his country faithfully for 7 years. While serving Mr. Catoe was deployed to Lackland Air Force Base and San Antonio, Texas. After being honorably discharged, Mr. Catoe went on to be a truck driver working for C. Ray Miles and enjoyed working in his garage.  He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves Baseball and South Carolina football.

Mr. Catoe was a mason and a member of Omar Shrine Temple.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Bonnie Stanley; son-in-law, Jeff Stanley; and grandchildren, Dena Stanley and Sidney Stanley. He was predeceased by his late wife, Nicolasa O. Catoe; daughter, Penney Reynolds; and son, Thomas Catoe, Jr.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Catoe will be held Friday,  April 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with a burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Camden, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. The Rev. Eric Boone will be officiating.
