CASSATT – Funeral service for Donald Albertus “Red Dog” Truesdale, 67, will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Grubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Truesdale passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Albertus and Sara Gaskins Truesdale. He owned and operated Sandhills Auto Sales LLC and was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden. He enjoyed shooting pool, sports, NASCAR and racing cars. Surviving are his wife, Allie Frances Truesdale; daughters, Donna Caine, Tara Nicole DeMoya (Doug) and Katherine Ali Spears (Cody); brothers, Carl Truesdale and Gerald Truesdale (Judy); and 2 grandchildren Sara D. Caine and Dalton Hunter. He was predeceased by a brother, James Truesdale.
