Obituary of Danny Steven Hensley, Sr

CASSATT- A funeral service for Danny Steven Hensley, Sr., 67, will be held Thursday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Ridley will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Mr. Hensley passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, he was the son of the late Herbert and Garnetta Joy Marshall Hensley.  He was a master carpenter, master auto body technician, auto mechanic technician, and enjoyed wood working.  He also enjoyed cars and fishing.

        Surviving are his children, Nancy Blackmon (Clay) of Cassatt, Danny Steven Hensley Jr. of Camden, Amanda Gordon (Mitchell) of Ridgeway and Jessica Hensley (Cortney) of Portsmouth, Ohio; sisters, Jean Anne Hensley-Sisler of Ohio and Pamela Sue Hensley Lewis (Tim) of Ohio; brother, Tim Hensley of Ohio; grandchildren, Danielle, Olivia, Parker, Madison, Anna, Cayden, Cody, Tyler, Daniel, Eli, Justin, Elivya.; and 5 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Walker Ryan McCoy; and brother, Rick Hensley; and sister, Cheryl Hensley Hurst.
