Obituary of James William Le Blanc

LUGOFF – A memorial service for James William “Jim” Le Blanc, 77, will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Columbia.  The Rev. Monsignor Richard D. Mr. Le Blanc passed away at home on Sunday, March 24^th surrounded by his family.  Born in Bridgeton, Maine, he was the son of the late Joseph Rene and Dorothy Edson Le Blanc.

He was truly a wonderful man and best friend to his wife of 55 years, Sheila Warnock Le Blanc; the father to Rene, Evanne and Jennifer and kind soul to many more. He was the father-in-law to Emanuela, Buddy, and Ethan; grandfather to Tristan, Xavier, Andre and Antonio; and brother to Eric Le Blanc, John Le Blanc and Joseph Le Blanc.

He lived by the idea that all that matters is who you love and who loves you. He saved lives in the US Coast Guard, worked for E. I. DuPont de Nemours, lent his beautiful voice to the St. Joseph Church Choir, and traveled to Europe for concert tours. He was a fine man!
