My most heartfelt condolences to Cathy, Josh and Samantha on the passing of their beloved, Steve. I have known Steve since high school. He was one of the best human beings I've ever known. The love he has for our Lord, family and friends is immeasurable. He will forever hold a special place in my soul for the friendship, love, prayers he bestowed upon me. I was truly blessed to know him and call him my friend. Steve will be missed and loved forever. Godspeed, my friend.

I am so very sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I did not know him but he left a lifelong impression on my family because of his kindness and concern for my dad (Steve referred to him as "Doc") after meeting him in the barber shop in 2016 when my dad was battling leukemia. Steve posted a request on Facebook after that meeting asking for people to join him in praying for my dad. That was so appreciated and those prayers from Steve and others who prayed because of Steve were felt. That was not a chance meeting that day in the barber shop and I know Steve and my dad were happy to see each other again in Heaven and are currently getting better acquainted. Steve was such a wonderful man that loved his Lord, Family, Friends and Fun. He will be terribly missed. My life has been blessed by knowing Steve. These are just two of the pictures from our Swift Creek Dove Club of Steve - one picture with some lifelong friends and one of him with his daughter that he treasured more than life.

We join with his wonderful family in saluting his memory and applauding his selfless service to Spears Creek Church and to the community, among which the Sheriffs Foundation. His support to County was laudable and pervasive — among which his standing tall when we opened Veterans Park and the new dock. May the Good bless and keep him and cast a hedge around the family.
