Obituary of Dexter Elm

LUGOFF – Funeral service for Dexter Markeith Elm, 41, will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Camden First United Methodist Church with burial to following Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held on Friday from 12:00-5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

Mr. Elm passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Prisma Health Baptist.  Born in Camden, he was the son of Sharon Hayes Elm and the late Larry Knox.  He was an avid Cowboy’s fan and Clemson Tigers fan.  He was the life of the party who lived life to its fullest.  He was known for buying a new pair of shoes.

Surviving are his wife, Tiffany Bracey; mother, Sharon Elm of Lugoff; son, Tyrease (Jordan) Elm; step-children, Ky’Essence Barnes, Kedrick Barnes, Taveon Davis, Quentavious Davis, Danashia Bracey, Ziarra Bracey and Sincere Pouge; brothers, Anthony Jackson, Lamont Whitworth, Dashaun Brown, Frederick Beaufort, Terrance Stratford, Dwayne Smith and Travon Pate; sisters, Deasia Hayes, Nakita Knox, Nikia (Devin) Lee, Jamika Knox, Nakia Stradford Gary (Daniel) and Jasmine Lee; god sister, Monica Hill; god son, Elijah Stover; aunts, Kizzie, Ida, Edna, Ernestine, Ruby and Stephanie; uncles, Timothy (Paula), Ronald (Chrissy), Michael (Max) and Richard; special cousin, Brittany Peeples; special friend, Ashley Lee; best friend, Kimberly Jones; and bonus moms, Priscilla Drakeford and Debbie Pate.
