Obituary of Robert L Taylor

Robert L. Taylor, 68, of Camden, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Born in Camden, he was the son of Delores Simpson Taylor and the late Barney L. Taylor and the husband of 40 years to Linda Truesdale Taylor. Robert was an active member of DeKalb Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, a Sunday School Teacher, and helping run the sound board on Sundays. He loved animals and was an avid golfer, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife and mother, Robert is survived by his sons, Troy Jordan (Melanie) and Todd Jordan (Mandy); his grandchildren, Chad Jordan, Hunter Jordan, Dalton Jordan (Cassie), Colin Jordan, Kensley Williams (Casey), and Landon Young; and his great-grandchildren, Kaiden Jordan, Ella Kate Jordan, Macon Jordan, Wittley Kate Jordan, and Avery Williams.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at DeKalb Baptist Church, Camden. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service, beginning at 2:00pm. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
