Obituary of Casandra K. McQuillar

CAMDEN- A funeral service to celebrate the life of Casandra K. McQuillar, 60, will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Rembert. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Casandra passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. she was a daughter of Joseph Louis McQuillar and Katherine McQuillar Thomas. Casandra enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. She also loved to drink her coffee on the front porch while playing her numbers and keeping up with her shows.

     Left to cherish her memory are her son, Devon McQuillar; a daughter, Darcel McQuillar; mother, Katherine Patterson Thomas; father, Joseph Louis McQuillar; grandchildren, Ty’Daisha Phillips, Ron’Nae Lyons, Lariel McEachin; siblings, Tresa Patterson, Derick McQuillar, Shalaine McQuillar; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by grandchidrlen, Blessyn McQuillar and Amari McQuillar.
