Obituary of Lyllian Haynes Goff

LUGOFF – Lyllian Kathlyn Haynes Goff, 83, passed away peacefully on Feb. 15, 2024 surrounded by family. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Charles Everett and Rev. Brandon Goff will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at Powers funeral Home.

A leg injury early in life created a lifelong challenge. Praise the Lord, she has been healed!

"And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thine art loosed from thine infirmity." Luke 13:12

Born in Great Falls, SC she was a daughter of the late Lawton Harrell Haynes and Lorena Council Ross Haynes. Mrs. Goff was  a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her family. She touched many lives while babysitting, teaching Sunday School, and otherwise serving at Concord Baptist Church, and later, at Trinity Baptist Church in Lugoff. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading her Bible and traveling. She had a great sense of humor and was a talented artist.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd Wilson Goff; her children, Floyd Goff Jr. (Pam), Donnie Goff (Denise), Cheryl Dinkins (Jimmy), Debra Goff-Hasty, Kenneth Goff, Dennis Goff (Lou), Chrissy Goff; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her parents; her brothers, Harold Haynes, T.C. Haynes, James Haynes; her sisters, Pauline Carter, Lois Rabon and Ruby Lorena Haynes; and great grand-daughter, Delaney Collins.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Suzanne and Terri of Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care.
