Obituary of Charles Nicholas Collucci, Jr.

Charles Nicholas Collucci Jr, 75, passed away on Friday, February 09, 2024. Born October 30, 1948 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles Nicholas Colucci and Nicholina Albanese. Mr. Collucci resided in his home state for 48 years before moving cross country to various states and eventually spending his last 8 years in South Carolina. After graduating from Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, NJ, Mr. Collucci completed training at the Teterboro School of Aeronautics to become a certified Aircraft Mechanic.  He enlisted with the Army Reserves and served for 7 years during the Vietnam era while simultaneously working in the aviation industry as an aircraft mechanic completing 9 years with United Airlines.  Mr. Collucci later went into industrial equipment sales eventually managing his own successful company, Metro Industrial Supplies, for over a decade.  He is the holder of a US Patent having invented a unique drive shaft coupling device.  Mr. Collucci was a proud member of the NRA and was also an active member of the Catholic Church. He knew many facts about history and aviation and was noted as an “aficionado” in both subjects. But above all else, Mr. Collucci enjoyed staying in contact and visiting with his beloved friends and family.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Charles Nicholas Collucci III (Agnieszka) and Anthony Collucci (Melissa); sister, Maryanne De Blasio (Pat); grandchildren, Cary Alexander Collucci, Chiara Aniela Collucci, Chloe Amelia Collucci, Anthony James Collucci and Cassandra Grace Collucci; and special friends, Annie Driggers, Aldo Falossi, Tony Pastore, and Jenny Farmer.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Arlene Barberio.

Services for Mr. Collucci will be held at a later date.
