Obituary of Richard William "Ricky" Hudley
Richard William “Ricky” Hudley was born in Kershaw County on July 27, 1961 and departed this life on February 9, 2024. He was the son of the late Richard Brice and Lillie Hudley Brice. Richard attended the public schools of Kershaw County, graduating from Bethune High School in 1979. He was employed by a variety of jobs, but his love for driving trucks was his passion. Richard enjoyed life to its fullest. He was very dedicated to his family and friends. His loving ways and smile brought out the best in all those around him. His faith was Jehovah’s Witness. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, gardening, and playing games on his X-Box.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his caring brother, Linton Hudley, Sr.; devoted sister, Rosa Brice; his nephew whom he loved as a son, Ashley Brice; his uncles, Theodore Blair of Queens, NY, Hiwaitha Brice of Denver, CO, and Johnnie Brice of Patterson, NJ; aunts, Naomi Anthony of Kershaw, SC, Viola King of Fort Mill, SC, Midget Brice, and Eva Tobias, both of Charlotte, NC; two nieces, Thaisha King of Lexington, NC, and Bridgette Clyburn of Rock Hill, SC; great nieces, Chloe and Zoe Brice, both of Columbia, SC; his nephew, Linton Hudley, Jr. of Lexington, NC; great nephews, Amari Brice of Lugoff, SC, Micah Cowans, Zyaire DeQuan, and Jaceyon Southern, all of Lexington, NC; as well as a host of other loving relatives, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will follow the service in Highland Heights Cemetery, Kershaw, SC.
