Obituary of Glenda Ray Truesdale

Glenda Ray Truesdale, 82, passed away on Monday, February 05, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born March 27, 1941 in Kershaw County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Earnest “Bud” and Lucille Ray Bradley. Mrs. Truesdale was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her neighbors, friends, and family. She enjoyed collecting ducks and going to church any time the doors were open.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Roy Truesdale; children, Janice Caulder (Robert) and Kenneth Eugene Truesdale (Michelle); grandchildren, Jamie Denise Potteiger (Jamie), Robert Jason Caulder (Stacey), Kimberley Renee Truesdale, Adam Corry Mirza Truesdale (Kristie), Joshua Lee Truesdale and Elizabeth “Brooke” Truesdale; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Truesdale was predeceased by her son, Barney Lee Truesdale and brother, William “Bill” Leon Elliott.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, www.act.alz.org/donate
