Obituary of Cecil Hicks Privette

Cecil Hicks Privette, born March 14, 1940, he was the son of the late Johnny and Eula Privette. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Shirley Ann Privette. He was the father of five children, Eugene (Martha), Renee (James), Johnny “Pool”, Russell (Audra), and Lisa Ann; grandfather of fourteen grandchildren and great-grandfather to 25 great-grandchildren.

Cecil took pride in his family and loved them very much. He enjoyed long rides on back country roads, sitting on the front porch and going to the auction. Cecil always loved cutting up with his family. He retired from Kendall Mill after 45 years of service.

Cecil is predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Ann; granddaughter, Jordan Brooke; great-granddaughter Shae-Lynn Alyvia; three sisters; and two brothers. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.

Cecil will be truly missed.
