Obituary of Mitchell Branham

RIDGEWAY – A service to celebrate the life of Mitchell Wes Branham, 86, will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Mr. Branham, husband of the late Lois Boone Branham, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, February 4, 2024.  Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Homer Branham and Mamie Barfield Branham.  He retired as a master carpenter and enjoyed gardening, scrapping metal and watching Purple Martins.

Surviving are his daughters, Janice Mesa (Bobby) of Ridgeway and Paula Carns of Ridgeway; brother, Carl Branham; grandchildren, Megan Marmolejo and John Carns; great-grandchildren, Maycie Marmolejo, Connor Timmons and Amelia Carns; and special friends, Boyd “Shake” Harris, David Branham, Sandy Watts, and the twins.  He was predeceased by brothers, James Branham and A.V. Branham; and sister, Annie Branham.
