Obituary of Danny Griggs, Sr.

CAMDEN – Service for Danny Griggs, Sr., 65, will be held at a later date.

Mr. Griggs, husband of the late Tammy Griggs, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.  Born in Darlington, he was the son of the late Richard Griggs Sr. and Katherine Anderson Griggs.  He enjoyed fishing, riding in his truck and sipping on a cool drink.

Surviving are his children, Ann Watts (Hugo) of Lumberton, N.C., Debra Griggs of Lexington, S.C., Danny Griggs, Jr. (Amanda) of Cassatt, Stacey Griggs (James Banks) of Camden, and Richard Griggs (Brittany) of Camden; sisters, Belva Baker (Roth) and Ginny Cook (Joe); brother, Alvin Griggs; and 19 grandchildren.  He was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, and a brother, Phillip Griggs.
