Obituary of Jimmy Lewis Rabon

CAMDEN- A service to celebrate the life of Jimmy Lewis Rabon, 74, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Outlaw will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3-4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MUSC Hospice at 1165 US 1 Suite 400, Lugoff, S.C. 29078, where donations are used to buy things for future patient care.

    Mr. Rabon passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. Born in South Carolina, he was a son of the late John Douglas and Helen Carey Rabon. Mr. Rabon was a residential contractor for 40+ years before he retired. He was a simple man that enjoyed fishing and being out on the water. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

    Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothy Waynick Rabon; children, Doug L. Rabon (Missy) of Lugoff, Angel R. Douglas (Billy) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Chandler D. Rabon (Emily), Carson R. DeBruhl (Zack), Jeremy J. Douglas (Emily), Bailey L. Douglas; great-grandchildren, Walker L. DeBruhl, Salem D. Douglas; and siblings, Harold D. Rabon (Judy) of Lugoff and James R. Rabon (Jeannie) of Camden.
