Diane Ray Benton, 67, of Camden, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Bobby and Helen Chavis Ray and the wife of Carlton Lenny “Lin” Benton. Diane was a former member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin, SC. She enjoyed spending time at Edisto Beach, arrowhead hunting, and visiting flea markets and yard sales. Above all, Diane was a caring and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly.
In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by her children, Mandy Waynick (Ed) and Dean Jordan, Jr. (Amy); grandchildren, Austin Waynick, Tyler Waynick, and Emmy Jordan; and siblings, Ellen Branham (Clayton), Bob Ray (Cindy), and Eric Hicks (Amber).
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Andy Ray.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
