Obituary of Robert Franklin Warnock

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Robert Franklin Warnock, 80, will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Brian Plyler will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to KershawHealth Home Health & Hospice. Mr. Warnock passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Born in Glenwood, Ga., he was the son of the late Everett Tillman and Edith Anderson Warnock. He served in the United States Army and was a 1963 graduate of Georgia Tech-Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Warnock moved to Camden in 1963 and retired from E.I. DuPont after 28 years of service. Mr. Warnock was a member of the Kershaw County Board of Realtors since 1982 and was past president of the Camden Lions Club and past president of KC YMCA. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for 17 years. He was a master woodworker and craftsman. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Mary Cronan Warnock; sons, Todd Warnock (Kelly) of Camden, Scott Warnock (Beth) of Camden, and Mark Warnock (Pam) of Raleigh, N.C..; daughter, Harriett Tokar (Mike) of Columbia; brother, William Everett Warnock (Jenny) of Ocala, Fla.; granddaughters, Taylor McDonald (Chris), Madison, McKenzie, Lauren and Weslee Warnock; and grandsons, Markus, Robert, William and Thomas Warnock; and two great-grandchildren Ellie Kate and Olivia. He was predeceased by brothers, Leon Harris Warnock, Leon Doyal Warnock and Rosby Talmage Warnock; and sister, Melba Roberson (Remer). The family would like to thank his personal caregivers, Angie and Denise, along with the caring staff at KershawHealth, Wildewood Downs, and Palmetto Richland for ensuring his final days were filled with comfort and peace.
