Obituary of Craig Allen Fields

Craig Allen Fields, 72, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023. Born in Camden, SC on August 31, 1951, he was the son of Rudolph LaBruce and Beatrice Hough Fields of Camden, SC. Mr. Fields retired from Cogsdill Tools after 40 plus years as the maintenance supervisor. He was a self-taught musician from teenage years who could make a guitar talk like no other and played lead guitar in several local bands over the years. He enjoyed playing music in the Sea Dog Saloon with friends and spending time at the beach with his family and friends.  

In addition to his parents Mr. Fields is survived by his son, Ryan Fields (Kyleigh); grandchildren, Mila, Emmaleigh and Riley; siblings, Thomas W. Fields (Joyce) and Carrie F. Boyce (Ronnie) all from Camden, SC.

Mr. Fields was predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth “Beth” Fields.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Fields will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, at 6:00pm at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
