Obituary of Stella DuBose

CASSATT-Mrs. Stella DuBose, 70, of Cassatt, SC, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Born in Camden, SC, on February 14, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Jake and Beulah Kibler and the wife of the late Sampson DuBose.  She attended Kershaw County Public Schools, graduating in 1971.  After graduation she moved to Hackensack, NJ, where she continued her education, eventually receiving an associate degree in Keypunching.  She then began a successful career as a Keypunch Operator with The Record Newspaper, before being promoted to Accounts Receivable Manager.  Stella enjoyed reading, golfing, and tutoring her niece and nephews.

Stella leaves to cherish her fond memories and celebrate her homegoing, her son, Kelvin DuBose; grandson Jaden R. DuBose; her godson Michael DuBose.  Brothers Acie Kibler (Belinda) of Bethune, SC; Wesley Kibler (Peggy) of Hackensack, NJ; sister Nora Bracey of Cassatt, SC, Brenda Truesdale (Keith) of Cassatt, SC; Flora Kibler (Jerome Richardson) of Cassatt, SC; Brother-in-law Alexander DuBose of Hackensack, NJ; sisters-in-law Hattie Harvey of Pennsylvania and Victoria Thomas of Hackensack, NJ.  A family friend Phillip Jackson; her special friend Thomas L. Bracey; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 3:00p.m., Friday, November 17, 2023, at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, SC, with Rev. E.L. Sanders presiding.
