CASSATT – Funeral services for Blanche Owens Baskins Caulder, 83, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Baskins Family Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Cobb will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Mrs. Caulder, wife of the late Harmon Caulder, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Grover Walter and Lucy Moore Owens. Mrs. Caulder was a member of The Lugoff Church of God. She was an evangelist who enjoyed reading the bible, writing songs, woodworking, and sewing. Surviving are her sons, Joseph Baskins, Jr. (Patricia) of Irmo, David Baskins (Susan) of North Augusta; daughter, Diane Skinner (Mitch) of Bishopville; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph “Dent” Baskins, Sr.; son, Gary Baskins; and siblings, Grover, Harold, William, Burnette, and Stoney Owens, and Velma Goodman.
