Obituary of Susie "Susan" Whitworth Clary

Winnsboro - Susie “Susan” Whitworth Clary, 72 died at her home on November 1, 2023. A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Susan was the daughter of the late Ollie Whitworth and J. L. Whitworth. She was born in Cherryville, NC on September 30, 1951. She was married to her husband Ralph Clary for 37 years. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother, James Whitworth.

Susan enjoyed crappie fishing and riding in the boat out on the lake. She loved to ride her golf cart and looking for sea shells at the beach. She once operated a gift shop in Shelby, NC where she was an avid crafter. She was skilled at flower arranging. She had a love for life and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by her children, Sandra Spry (Robert), Douglas Pruitt, Rebecca Pruitt (Bryan); Step-daughter, Kim Humphries (Scott); Grandchildren, Jacob Helms (Megan), Alyssa Jackson, Tony Shull (Maney), Taylor Ross (Malik), Andrew Shull, Lacey Hinson (Lane), Logan Humphries; great grandchildren, Langston Shull, Daxon Shull, August Ross, and Collins Hinson.
