Obituary of Sammie Louis Cooke

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Sammie Louis Cooke, 86, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Parker Baptist Church Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm at Powers Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

    Mr. Cooke passed away Monday, October 30, 2023. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Willie Heath Cooke and Laura Drakeford Cooke. Mr. Cooke retired from DuPont.

    In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Drakeford Community Center/Park, at P. O. Box 1682, Camden, South Carolina 29021.
