Obituary of Larry Branham

Larry “Skinner” Branham, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Born in Camden, SC on January 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Lavern “Bud” and Ruth Virginia Cobb Branham. Mr. Branham attended Mizpah Baptist Church in Camden, SC. He enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, listening to the hounds run and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Sycamore Hunting Club.

Left to cherish his memories is his beloved wife of 28 years, Merita “Lucy” Goff Branham; son, Chris R. Branham (Linda); stepchildren, Tim Spradley (Tonya) and Geoff Spradley (Leslie); sister, Diane Pettis; and grandchildren, Sydnee, Brayden, Avery and Emery Branham, and Sawyer, Saxton, Spencer, Emma and Trent Spradley.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Branham was predeceased by his grandson, Sullivan Spradley; and his adored fur-baby, Rudy.

A service to celebrate Mr. Branham’s life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
