Obituary of James "Jimmy" Moore

CAMDEN – A funeral service for James Richard “Jimmy” Moore, 55, will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at Dekalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jeremy Ussery will officiate. The family will receive friends at their home at 1422 Spring Hill Road, Camden S.C. on Saturday starting at 2:30 p.m. They invite you to come watch the Carolina Gamecock game with Jimmy as they celebrate his life.

    Jimmy passed away at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born in Victoria, TX, he was a son of Shirley Mae Moore and the late Harold Moore. Jimmy was a member of Dekalb Baptist Church and an avid Carolina Gamecock fan. He was a long-time staple in the nuclear power community, working and traveling all across the U.S. Jimmy was also a real estate agent for Mossy Oak Properties. He enjoyed golfing, watching sports, and traveling.

    Surviving are his wife, Lisa Bair Moore; sons, Russ Bair (Joyce) of Pinewood, Jamie Bair of Simpsonville; siblings, Jennifer Moore of Camden, Pete Moore of Camden, David Moore of Columbia, Glen Moore of W.V., Harold Moore (Nancy) of FL; and 2 grandchildren, Dean Bair and Sophia Bair. He was predeceased by a sister Susie Cross.
