Obituary of Kathy Pate

West Columbia- A funeral service for Kathy Vincent Pate, 73, formerly of Westville, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Round Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Don Turner and The Rev. Dale Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. The interment will be at 5:00 p.m. in Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with The Rev. Bobby James officiating. Memorials may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church Bus Fund.

     Mrs. Pate, wife of the late John Wayne Pate, Sr., passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late James B. Vincent and Lula Snipes Vincent. Mrs. Pate was a member of Round Hill Baptist Church She enjoyed playing BINGO, southern gospel music, puzzles, Zumba, Conway Twitty, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Surviving are her children, James Pate, Maggie Shumpert (Matthew); step-son, John Wayne Pate, Jr. (Margie); a sister, Sandra Hudson (Mark); grandchildren, Dylan Pate (Eva), Bryce Pate, Mary-Ellen Shumpert, Peyton Shumpert, Jonathan Pate, Shawn Pate and Ivan Pate; and 5 great-grandchildren.
