It is is with both sadness and joy that I write this after just learning of Edgar's passing. Sadness because his loving spirit will be missed so much at church, there was never a day that he did not greet me with care and concern for me, my wife, and family and always asked me to "give them my love." However, there is great JOY because Edgar is absent from the body but PRESENT with the LORD! Each time I saw him and I would ask him how he was doing his common repsonse was, "when I woke up today I saidy 'Thank You Lord for giving me another day'". He has always had a sweetness of spirit that is so rare with men in our world today. He was loved and appreciated and hopefully he knew and felt that, I belive he did! We can say with confidence that he is truly in a better place and that this place he has left behind feels a loss with him gone but he is where God wants him to be. I am thankful to have known him in the small way that I did, he impacted me, encouraged me, and blessed me each time I saw him. Prayers go up for his family with our condolences! May God comfort you at this time as only He can!
