Obituary of Albert Kenneth Vanderspiegel

Albert Kenneth Vanderspiegel, 77, passed away Saturday, September 02, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Born in Passaic, NJ on April 18, 1946, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Freda Kretz Vanderspiegel. Mr. Vanderspiegel obtained a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and worked for 30 plus years with United States Gypsum. He enjoyed sailing, NASCAR, figuring out how things work, working in his shop using his father’s machinery, and playing with his dog, Puglas.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patricia Willoughby Vanderspiegel; daughters, Donita Vanderspiegel and Natalie Vanderspiegel; and sister, Joan Vanderspiegel Holt.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mr. Vanderspiegel will be held Thursday, September 07, 2023 at 11:00 am at Community Bible Church in Beaufort, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will take place Friday, September 08, 2023 at 10:00 am in Hardshell Cemetery in Lugoff, SC. The Rev. Ed Vernoy will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to His Kids Orphan Ministry, Community Bible Church or Friends of Caroline Hospice.
