LUGOFF – The family of Richard Waitus Taylor, 52, will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. A time of sharing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Mr. Taylor died on Monday, May 19, 2014. Born in Columbia, S.C., he was the son of Zelma Marlene Timmons Boulware and the late John Monroe Taylor. He enjoyed woodworking, animals and fishing. Surviving are his mother, Marlene Boulware of Lugoff; daughter, Whitney Nicole Taylor of Monroe; son, John Taylor (Jeny Macias) of Elgin; brothers, James “Wimpy” Boulware (Sheila) and George Taylor; sisters, Peggy Spires (Terry) and Gail Ford (Wayne); and a grandson, Richard Monroe Taylor. He was predeceased by his son, Ricky Taylor; and step-father, James Boulware Sr..
