LUGOFF – Funeral service for Carlette Hood Still, 67, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Dulaney and the Rev. Eleazer Benenhaley will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Mrs. Still passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Corrine Hood. Mrs. Still was a former supervisor for Pioneer Limited and formerly worked for Lugoff First Baptist Church Daycare. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, puzzles, and making wreaths. Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Calvin D. Still; and sisters, Virginia Benenhaley of Wedgefield and Cora L. Hood of Sumter. She was predeceased by a brother, Adam H. Hood; and sisters, Ruth Hood, Pearl Bolser and Vivian Bolser.
