Obituary of Suzanne Pritt Scott

ELGIN – A Celebration of Life service for Suzanne Pritt Scott, 75, will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with inurnment to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Rev. Dan Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church.

 Mrs. Scott, wife of the late Harold P. Scott, Jr., passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023. Born in Charleston, W.V., she was the daughter of the late Alvie S. Pritt, Jr. and Gertrude Baughan Pritt. Mrs. Scott was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed needle point and spending time with her friends in Maggie Valley, N.C., playing cards. Her most precious time was spent with her children and grandchildren.

    Surviving are her; daughters, Dawn Swaney (Chad) of Elgin, Heather Valentine (Ryan Smith) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Madison Swaney, Aaron Valentine, Austin Valentine; and bonus grandchildren, Grant Smith and Riley Smith.
