I would just like for all of Martha's family to know how sad I am at her passing .... I had tried to call her a couple of times and no one answered her phone - I found out that she was in the hospital and was seriously ill .... I have been praying for her and for all of you. Martha and I have been known to spend an hour on that phone talking and reminiscing about days gone by....She loved her family - and she loved life - we would laugh at things that happened years ago ... we had lots of fun back in the days .... I talked to Melanie last night - and she made me cry - she said that her Momma loved me - she did not have to tell me that because when we got together we had so many memories ...... Well, Martha, I am so sorry you are not here now - but I know that Heaven has gained an angel - your family members and your sweet son, Lanny - were there waiting for you ..... I love you and I enjoyed the long phone calls we had - catching up ....!!!!! The wonderful outings we had .... !!!! We spent a wonderful summer in Nebraska and I will never forget that summer ...... !!!! I pray that you know how much I love you - you were a friend, a sister to me ..... !!!!! Ms Martha was a lovely woman. I used to love seeing her sit on her porch and wave as we went by. She Loved and cared for her family in so many ways. My thoughts and prayers go out to Dean and Gene and Melanie and her grands during this time .

Melanie, Dean, Gene and the rest of Martha’s family, so sorry to hear of Martha’s passing. I will be praying for peace and comfort for all of you. Martha was a dear friend for many years and I enjoyed getting together with all of you when we were all much younger, I remember the trip to pick peaches in the big old brown station wagon and throwing all the kids in the back. and the many biscuits your mama made, she tried to teach me but that was a joke (pillsbury) for me. I know that she was met with open arms by all who passed before her but I know she was only looking for Lanny. prayers for all..Sherry and Rick
