Obituary of William Robinson Ward, Jr

ELGIN- A celebration of life service for William Robinson Ward, Jr., 70, will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church. The Rev. Bill Dulaney will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 pm at the church.

     Mr. Ward, also known as “Billy” or “Max,” passed away on July 20, 2023. Born in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of William Robinson Ward, Sr. and Ina Weiss Hughes Ward. Mr. Ward attended Harvest Baptist Church. He loved music and played the bass guitar. Mr. Ward enjoyed golfing, yardwork, Ford Mustangs, and was an avid N.Y. Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan.

     Surviving are his wife, Louann Bourgoin Ward; son, Heath Ward (Jennifer) of Elgin; grandchildren, Brooke Ward and Brady Ward, both of Elgin; siblings, Anita Wilson, Debbie Munford, Brenda Sexton all of VA; and an aunt, Edna Bland. He was predeceased by his biological parents, Danford Earl Bland and Edith Paige Steele Bland.
