Obituary of Debra Elaine Hayes

Debra Elaine Hayes, 65, of Camden, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Bennie Lee Hayes, Sr. and Grace Virginia Hayes. Debra enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her favorite color was lime green, and she loved traveling to the beach every year for the annual Fireman’s Convention.

In addition to her boyfriend, Tony Gardner, Debra is survived by her children, Christopher Catoe, Jason Catoe (April), John Watson (Jamie), and Adam Watson (Vanessa); grandchildren, John Lee, Kimberlee, Lauriana, Heather, Amelia, Abbie, Christi, Gabby, Elizabeth, Michael, Austin, Jason, Jayden, Gracie, Rayleigh, and Brycen; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Junior; and her brother, Roger Hayes (Christina).

In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her great-grandson, J.J.; and her brother, Bennie Lee Hayes, Jr.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bishopville. The family will receive friends at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, prior to the service, beginning at 1:30pm.
