Obituary of William Frank Fender
LUGOFF – Funeral service for William Frank Fender, 94, will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Lugoff First Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Elliott Osowitt and Rev. Jimmy Hanf will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 664, Lugoff, S.C. 29078.
Mr. Fender, husband of the late Betty Knight Fender, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023. Born in Savannah, GA, he was the son of the late Benjamin Frank Fender and Thelma Grooms Fender. Mr. Fender served in the Navy and retired from DuPont. He was a member of Gideons International, a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and was involved in many mission projects and trips. He loved fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Donald R. Fender (Kathy) of Afton, VA and Kay F. Lott (Larry) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Jill E. Collins (Duaine) of Charleston, Mary L. Catoe (Russell) of Lugoff, April L. McCaa (Chip) of Lugoff, Laura L. Paulo (David) of Lugoff; great-grandchildren, Grayson Catoe (Jillian Wilkes), Makaylee Catoe, Nash Catoe, Orin Collins, Sullivan Paulo, Griffin Catoe, Charlie Paulo. He was predeceased by his sister, Ruby Faye Fender.
