Obituary of James Edward Knight

James Edward Knight, 66, of Camden, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Born in Lee County, he was the son of the late Charles Lynn Knight, Sr. and Ruby Lee Ray Knight and the husband of Rhonda Revels Knight. James was a skilled carpenter who had a passion for remodeling houses. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, visiting the casino, and was an avid Gamecock Football fan. James also liked to cook and bake, and enjoyed traveling with his family when his health would allow. Above all, James always provided for his family and loved spending time with them, especially his great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Cramer (Jon) and Deanne Wishert (Billy); his brothers, Ronnie Knight (Paula) and Charles Knight, Jr. (Jeanne); his grandchildren, Austin Johnson (Abbey) and Haven Coppock; great-grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Stephen Johnson, and Hazel Johnson; as well as his best friend, Marty Trimnal.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Knight.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Red Hill Baptist Church, Camden. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am.
