Obituary of Dinah Pharr Sapp

LUGOFF- A funeral service for Dinah Laronda Pharr Sapp, 74, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Chuck Everett and the Rev. Jay Keith will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 am in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of America or the Dementia Society of America.

    Mrs. Sapp, wife of the late Joe Kerney Sapp, passed away on June 4, 2023. Born in Jasper, AL, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Claudine Brown Pharr. Mrs. Sapp enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with family, especially her grandkids and studying her Bible.

    Surviving are her daughters, Jennifer Sapp of Lugoff, Valerie Ray (Gene) of Camden; grandchildren, Ashton McManus (John III), Gene Ray, Caroline Sapp; great-grandson, John “Jay” McManus IV; sister, Cassandra Sturkie; and brothers, Randy Pharr, Danny Pharr, and Andy Meglis.
