Obituary of Dorothy Catherine Jones

ELGIN- Dorothy Catherine Ignelzi Jones, 76, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023. Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Audrey and Nicholas Ignelzi. Mrs. Ignelzi enjoyed re-furnishing, working with computers, exercising, swimming and most of all being with her family.

She is survived by her sons, John Buchko, Sr. and Nicholas Buchko (Gina); sisters, Gilda Ignelzi Brower of Auburn, NY; brother, Mauro Igenlzi (Susan) of Port St. Lucie, Fl.; grandchildren, John Buchko, Jr., Anthony Buchko, David Buchko, Michael Buchko, Nina Buchko, Tina Buchko, Nichole Fiero (Ziggy), Jesse Chambers, Cassie Scott (Bryan), and David Chambers; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces, Sarah Yaw (Doug), Patrick Brower, Dominic Ignelzi (Kellie) and Joseph Ignelzi (Amanda).

She is predeceased by her husband, Murray Jones; and daughter-in-law, Darlene Buchko.

A service to celebrate Mrs. Jones life will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
