I have know Jim since our childhood. Our families spent a lot of time together as our fathers were in the military together. I knew him in high school, even though we were in different schools. We would lose contact but always seemed to reconnect eventually. I knew him as a police officer and was always afraid he would get me for some traffic violation. But, all I all he was a great person to have know. Rest In Peace my very dear friend. We will meet again. Sandy Wymer

So sorry for the loss of Jim ! He was great man of God and served his time as Chief well, putting his community first and foremost ! His family is amazing and surly the void will hurt ! I pray God spreads his peace and comfort over the entire family, and Hismercy and grace overflows ! I worked with Jim at The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office, and I later Retired from Law Enforcement. I opened a private Security company. As soon as Jim retired from Kershaw County, I hired him to come work with me. Jim stayed with our team for 12 years, before retiring a couple of years ago. When I decided to opend, my business, I made the decision to hire personnel that I could trust. Jim was one of the first I turned to. Jim was like a brother to me. I will forever treasure his friendship. Jim was a devoted friend, husband, papa, brother, son, police officer and Christian. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Linda and the family. Fly high Brother. R.I.P. my friend, I will see you again.
