COLUMBIA – A celebration of life service for Louise Perkins Faries, 90, formally of Jackson, MS, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Bill Dulaney will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church Missions Fund at 281 Wildwood Lane, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Ms. Faries passed away April 26, 2014. Born in Rosedale, MS, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Frances Bryant Perkins. Ms. Faries was a member of St. John’s United Methodist in Clinton MS. She enjoyed ballroom dancing. Surviving are her sons, Jack Faries (Elizabeth) of Elgin, William “Bill” Faries of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Bryant, Blake, Christopher, and Emily Faries; and a great-grandchild, Lilly Faries. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Perkins.
