Obituary of Linda Braswell Broughton

Linda Braswell Broughton, 66, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Born in Rock Hill, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Howard and Patricia Rainy Brock and the wife of Mitchell Lee Broughton. She was a member of Royal Pines Independent Holiness Church in Columbia. Linda worked for many years in food service and as an electrician. She enjoyed singing, attending church, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her children, Michael Shane Braswell (Flora) and Shannon Lynn Shrader (Tim); step-children, Jason Everett Broughton and Sherry Broughton Williams (Steve); her brothers, Ricky Brock (Connie), Glenn “Bug” Brock, Johnny Brock, and Eddie Brock; as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
