Obituary of Susie Bradley Rush

Susie Bradley “Sue” Rush, 88, of Camden, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23,2023 after a brief illness at MUSC Kershaw Health. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Camden for many years, especially serving in the children’s ministry.

She was raised in Westville, SC, daughter of the late Marvin Columbus and Lucille Christmas Bradley. She graduated from Baron DeKalb High School and was employed as a administrative assistant for various local law firms for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, quilting, trips with family to the beach, mountains, and having a good meal with family.

She is survived by son, Mark Rush (Kay); granddaughter, Katie Elizabeth Rush of Camden, SC; brother David Bradley (Sandy) of Spartanburg, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parent’s, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward “Ed” Rush; son, Timothy Edward “Tim” Rush; brother, William Arthur “Bill” Bradley.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, from 11:00 – 12:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, SC. A graveside will follow the visitation at 12:30 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden, SC.
