Obituary of Jimmy Paul Tidwell

CASSATT - Jimmy Paul Tidwell, 60, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in Camden, SC, he was the son of the late Paul Tidwell and Sarah Tidwell Sullivan.  He enjoyed grilling, NASCAR, fishing, Gamecocks Sports, and drag racing.  He was a family man who adored his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Billie Prescott Tidwell; daughter, Jill Tidwell; brother, Phillip Tidwell (Sheila); grandchildren, Korbin Eddings, Jadelynne Eddings, Khloe Eddings, Emma Eddings, and Laikyn Eddings; and special niece, Dawn Jordan (Stacy).  He was predeceased by a daughter, Ashley Tidwell Eddings; brother, Robert Tidwell; paternal grandparents, Lottie and Lee Tidwell; and maternal grandparents, Nellie Scott and Robert Scott.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
