Obituary of Barry J. Artlip

LUGOFF – A memorial service for Barry John Artlip, 59, will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots. The family will recieve friends following the service at 1399 Kennedy Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078.

Mr. Artlip passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023.  Born in Tampa Bay, Fl., he was the son of Bernard John Artlip and Betty Jane Young Artlip.  He was a diesel mechanic for Peterbilt in Columbia.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.  Mr. Artlip was a member of the Royal Riders.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his daughter, Mikalah Wiesen (Joshua) of Lugoff; his companion of 15 years, Dana Stalker; step-daughter, Demi Dinkins (Michael) of Lugoff; step-sons, Justin Furniss (Misti) of Camden, Brian Hook of Lugoff and Zachary Stalker of Camden; sisters, Debbie Neiman and Barbara Hardin (Sean); and 8 grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a brother, Joe Artlip.
