Obituary of Suzanne Denise Pharr

Suzanne Denise Chappell Pharr, 57, of Elgin, passed away peacefully in her sleep with her daughter by her side on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Born in Ozark, AL, she was the daughter of Ruby Chappell and the late Herbert Chappell, Jr. Suzanne loved being outdoors, especially when she could be on the water. She loved to fish, swim, garden, and dance. Suzanne also loved her precious dog, Tinkerbell. Above all, she loved her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Rose Anne Hellams (David); her grandchildren, Dylan Alexander Hasty, Haley Robin Hasty, Brayden Jackson, and Faith Robin Jackson; great-grandchildren, Cohen Hasty and Everleigh Hasty; her siblings, Tammy Hayes, Tony Chappell (Renee), Herbie Chappell (Leslie), and her half-brother, Chris Lemacks; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Suzanne was preceded in death by her son, Alexander Jackson; and her brother, Terry Chappell.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service, beginning at 5:00pm.
