Obituary of Nancy Faye Nelson

Nancy Faye Catoe Nelson, 83, passed away Saturday, January 07,2023. Born in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late Everette Burrell and Annie Mae Young Catoe. Mrs. Nelson attended Harmony Baptist Church in Elgin, SC, where she played the organ. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, walking, and was an avid Clemson sports fan.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Robert Nelson (Becky); sister, Ann Terry (Mike); brother, Earl Catoe (Peggy); step-grandchildren, Adam Day, Andy Day, Addison Sussman, and Cameron Sussman; and sister-in-law; Juanita Ross.

She was predeceased by her late husband, Jimmy Whitaker Nelson; and brother, Joseph Ray Young.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in the Nelson Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
